GTST: Spring Levend (Alive and Kicking)


After Who Is Tim RTL presented a new platform to keep viewers interested during GTST's summer break. In 2013 RTL, Endemol and The Project Company launched the transmedia experience: Spring Levend (Alive And Kicking).

Fans were treated to a sizzling cliffhanger: a group of GTST-characters celebrated an upcoming marriage by organising a skydive trip. During the skydive the parachute of one of the characters was sabotaged. Who was responsible for this horrific incident? The special app gave fans the opportunity to investigate, find clues and gather details. Various media were used to distribute extra content and code words.

Target audience



Thanks to the big media hype and skyhigh fan engagement Spring Levend resulted in the summerbuzz of 2013. The buzz helped advertisers to build an intense relationship with their consumers. The app was very successful with more than 500.000 downloads and over 360.000 registered users. Spring Levend successfully bridged the summer break and set up a powerful lead in for the new TV season. The case won a Dutch Interactive Award for Best Activation.
